I completed episode 2 and played a little bit of episode 3. Episode 2 was very dramatic and quite disturbing... Max went to school for her classes and wandered around a little bit. I had a fun conversation with Warren, then headed to photography class. I saw Kate in a heated discussion with the teacher, then she stormed off and left the school before class. Class started, but it wasn't long before a student barged in and said that there was something crazy happening at the girl's dorm...
Everyone left class despite the teacher's pleas, and went to the dorm. When I got there, I watched in horror as Kate jumped off the roof of the building, killing herself. It's clear that she had been very depressed lately, and the viral video must have been the last straw...
Of course, Max uses her powers to help Kate. I reversed time to a point where Kate is still alive. Then, somehow, Max stopped time completely and was able to move around the people frozen in time. It seemed to require great effort, but she stopped time long enough to reach Kate on the roof before she jumped. That's when Max realized that she couldn't use her power at all anymore, possibly due to the enormous effort required to stop time...
I had a conversation with Kate to convince her to stay alive. Based on my previous actions with her, and intelligent, empathic dialogue choices, I managed to save my friend's life! Max was hailed as a hero while Kate went into temporary psychiatric care.
This led to an important conversation in the principal's office between Max, the principal, David Madsen, the photography professor and Nathan Prescott. As can be expected, this was a difficult conversation. I told the truth about Nathan, while David accused me of being an unreliable witness due to the marijuana incident in Chloe's room. I blamed Nathan Prescott of causing Kate's suicide attempt with the viral video. I signed a statement and got suspended for a few days, though I don't really remember the reasoning behind that.
The same night, I met up with Chloe. She got the keys to the school and wanted to break into the principal's office to find evidence related to Rachel's disappearance. Unfortunately, Chloe didn't have the keys to the principal's office, so we got creative. I texted Warren to ask for advice on how to break a lock, and he sent me a sort of chemical recipe for a pipe bomb. I wandered around the school to find the materials, then came back and blew open the door.
This set off an alarm, so I ran into the principal's office and rewinded time to before the bomb went off. I then calmly and quietly opened the door from inside the office, surprising Chloe. We found some interesting info on the students, including Rachel Amber and Nathan Prescott, though nothing really tangible.
We left, then went for a forbidden night swim in the school's swimming pool. This was a really good scene, which developed Max and Chloe's relationship. They swam in their underwear for a while, then got out when they got cold. That's when they heard someone walk into the building and hid... I stopped playing there, but I can't wait to see what happens next.
