While we didn't have much time to play, it was still enough for me and my daughter to fully explore the first town in the game. We received items from people, shopped for some poke balls and potions and fought a few Pokemon in the city's tall grass areas.
The biggest event in our short playtime was meeting Team Skull. They are the bad guys, and they want to steal everyone's Pokemon! They have a very kitschy appearance and attitude. Like, they literally wear bandanas with skulls on them, make gang signs and speak like idiots. It's so bad that it's kind of great... We beat them in battle, then spoke with the character that will guide us to our first trial. We're heading to Route 2 now, so hopefully, it will have many new Pokemon to catch and fight!
