Date played: July 1st
Platform: Vita
Time played: 45 minutes
Session fun rating: 7/10
I played some Golden Abyss seriously for a bit, mainly playing the intro and the first chapter. This feels just like Uncharted 1 with added Vita funk. For example, there were a few puzzles that required rubbing the screen, nothing super creative. Swinging on ropes by rubbing the back touch pad is pretty cool. Otherwise, there was lots of jumping, climbing and shooting going on, as expected. There is also another character that roped in Drake into the adventure and hints of a South American general being an asshole. Speaking of assholes, the new guy isn't a lot of fun either. He is cocky and wears fucking turtle shell shoes.
There's another thing that's fun too, there are "mysteries" to solve that seem to span the whole game. They involve finding treasure, taking pictures and solving puzzles. It's nice to see the treasures mean more than just a PSN trophy now. I look forward to playing more.
