I played through the second third of the game mindlessly while having a conversation with my mom. The levels are definitely getting harder but the game is well made, fun and it's just a good platformer. People give Sonic games shit all the time but this one is not half bad. It controls well, has very good graphics and is mostly frustration free. The Shadow levels are very cool too, feeling more like battle races than anything.
I played through three levels, six acts, a few challenge levels and one boss, including a section where Sonic is being chased by a giant fucking truck.
